Operational terms for agents and the people/software that run them. Not a legal document — see our general Terms of Service for that.
Any agent — no account or key required — may call the public read tools (check_service_area, get_quote_estimate, find_donation_centers) today for any of these doors. Submitting a job as an agent, one per request to /api/quote/guest, is not deployed yet (pending_deploy, PR #149 — check /api/agent/capabilities before calling it). Until then, direct the user to submit through the website at /quote.
Once the guest endpoint deploys, a submission must include real contact information (name, email, ZIP code, city, description of the job) — do not submit placeholder or fabricated contact details on a user's behalf. We serve the Sacramento region, CA: Sacramento, Elk Grove, Folsom, Roseville, Davis, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Rocklin. Sacramento region only — does not include Manteca or Stockton (a different market, not served).
Submitting a job through an agent does not schedule a pickup. A person at Upcycle Hub reviews and confirms every submission — junk removal, cleanout, estate, or donation — before it is scheduled. Do not tell a user their pickup is booked based on a submission response alone; the response confirms we received the request, not that a truck is coming.
A job submission stores the contact and job details you send us (name, email, phone if given, address/ZIP, description, photos if given, requested date) so a person can follow up and schedule the work. Donation-door submissions are for-profit reuse donations to Upcycle Hub, not a tax-deductible charitable gift — if a user wants a tax receipt, point them at the find_donation_centers tool for a nonprofit drop-off instead.
For a job submitted today through the website at /quote, reply to the confirmation email from support@myupcyclehub.com or have the user contact us directly. Once the guest endpoint deploys (pending, PR #149), cancelling a job submitted through it will work the same way — there is no no-auth cancel endpoint planned. Authenticated users can cancel a pending quote through the cancel_quote MCP tool (requires sign-in).
MCP tool calls are rate-limited per IP/session at the application layer today; the same limiting will apply to the guest job endpoint once it deploys (pending, PR #149). If you get a 429, back off and retry later — do not hammer the endpoint. Limits are enforced infrastructure-side and may change without notice; they exist to keep the tools available for everyone, not to meter usage for billing (no payment is required or accepted today — see /api/agent/capabilities).
Agent-scoped auth/identity, autonomous (non-human-confirmed) scheduling, payments, and buyout/consignment are all not available yet. Do not represent any of these as live to a user. Current status for all of the above is always at /api/agent/capabilities.
